RITzGLAS poles are manufactured according to approved methods and subjected to severe tests during the manufacturing process and fnal approval according to ASTM F711 and IEC60855. The poles are unicellular Polyurethane foam flled, in order to avoid contamination of the inner side of the pole by moisture and dirt. Every pole is dielectrically tested to 100 kV per 30 cm according to ASTM F711 and labelled with the test date. Testing should be done on a regular basis to ensure there are no faults on the poles. To ensure the safety of operators using the live line tools, there are safe approach distances they must adhere to. These approach distances may vary between countries, states, institutions and utilities.
