Cabac Service T-Ring Connector
The CABAC Service T connector is a compact way to create a service connection to a four core cable main conductor, in a quick and easy manner. These T connectors are proven to be one of the most cost effective ways of establishing service connections in a fully buried URD electrical supply system.
FEATURES
Insulation piercing system creating a sure full current connection
-
This connection can be made live, using simple live line techniques
-
Main conductors from 95 to 240mm2, and branch conductors up to 70mm2
-
Simple two bolt clamping and piercing system in one action
-
Two or more service cables can be taken from each connector
-
T connectors should be sealed in CABAC cast resin branch off kits
-
Main conductor aluminum, and branch copper or aluminum
-
The outer insulation of the four core cable is removed, and the conductor cores are spread slightly so that the insulating spacers included in the kit can be pushed between the conductors cores. The T connector is then simply clamped around the cable and tightened up using the outer Allen key screws. The teeth pierce through the conductor insulation, and make an excellent electrical connection with the main conductor. The branch conductors can be connected before or after the connector is pierced, using the simple tunnel style connection, clamped with an Allen key screw. The Service T ring connectors are designed to be encapsulated in a CABAC cast resin T joint kit, please see section G of this catalogue.
